Recommendations are Reviews?

We're experiencing another review confusion on Listal, I'm afraid. Last time it was with comments, which made an entirely seperate page for responses to lists and reviews. Now members are being awarded 50 points for every recommendation they give.

I noticed this when looking over the Games Explore page. A joke recommendation I'd given Prelude was listed as the latest review. I wanted to make sure I hadn't actually posted a review, so I checked my 'Reviews' page. Apparently I've also been given 50 points for suggesting Thunderpants to fuller. This might only happen when you leave recommendation comments, however I must point out how easily members can take advantage of this.

The beast is still among us. I recommended 'Big Trouble in Little China' to Midnight and have been credited for contributing another review.

This just in. Will you all examine this review by our #2 member?

Check Midnight's Australian Films list and click 'Read more' by your comment.

So comments are still mysteriously turning into "reviews" (quote-unquote). But in addition we also have a confusion between recommendations and reviews.

This is my latest review. Any ideas from anyone on this bug? Five post by myself sandwiched around one by Prelude doesn't give me the impression this is of great importance to many. So be it - I do see why truncating list comments could be helpful, but it's rather buggy to receive fifty points for each long comment. I think the issue's been stated adequately enough; I'll let this slide unless someone else sees it as a problem.

The Antagonist might be able to bring his points back up by receiving comment votes via cronies and alternate accounts, however.

I think TA should forsake his collections on this site and just go route one on his points quest by posting photos all day, technically negating his purpose here!

Go easy on the guy, TA. It can't be easy realising that several people on your favourite site think you're a drain on the internet. Alternate account accusations are the last chance saloon for a guys pride.
