tags upper- and lowercase

is there any reason why adding tags results sometimes in tags being added as uppercase and sometimes as lowercase? will there be any convention in the future like all (including the existing) tags in upper- or lowercase?

I think it depends on who first did the tag and if they did it in lower or upper case because I've noticed that with adding some of my tags if it's an unique tag I know no one is going to be using already from then on after I first used it doesn't matter if I use lower/upper case it will always turn out the same as the first.

I think you're correct Midnight, it depends on how the first person added the tag.

hm, thanks for the input midnight. hope there will be some uniform standard for tags and that existing tags will get adapted to this standard tough.

Midnight is right in that it depends who first tagged the item. I could set the tags to display in a certain way, I think uppercase first letter of each word would look best.
