If you weren't a fan of those shows, then you could always tune into The Lone Ranger, Laramie, Rawhide, Bonanza, The Roy Rogers Show, Gunsmoke, Have Gun - Will Travel, or one of the other fifty or so Western series which were shown on television during this time. There was quite literally nothing else on tv, so if you owned a television during the 1950s and didn't like Westerns at all, then good luck keeping your sanity.
