Review of Black Sea

I was working when this was screened at my job awhile back. I saw the director come in and when I realized it was the guy who did The Last King of Scotland I knew I had to see this. As people left the theater I asked how it was and was given a feedback with a continuous stream of recommendations. I have to see upon seeing it for myself I was more than satisfied. I love movies like this where it's a fight for survival and you never know what will happen next. You have a nice small group of really great actors some for now fairly unknown while others are quite recognizable. The characters themselves are quite interesting and vastly different. We even have racial tension here and it's not about color here rather than just being from a different geographical standpoint. I felt bad for some of the characters a few times throughout for the way they are treated by others. I found it to be quite thrilling yet for me it even seemed to be a bit emotional in a few scenes. There were some great twists and turns that I didn't even half expect to happen. Money is a monster that will consume the weak minded. I highly recommend seeing this.
