An average movie

The main reason I watched this flick is because I got this movie for free when I bought another movie so I thought I should check it out. Furthermore, I have seen most of the American productions starring Jet Li but I hadn't seen any of his Hong-Kong features so that was a good opportunity. First of all, of course, the fights were pretty awesome and really entertaining. Unfortunately, the humor was pretty bad... I guess it is an acquired taste but compared to the fights, it was rather a downfall. Furthermore, the story was not bad but it was still pretty generic, I'm afraid. To be honest, I was a little bit disappointed. Indeed, Jet Li has made many of those 'Wong Fei-hung' features and I thought it would be better than this. However, it seems that this flick was not an official sequel but should be actually considered as a spin-off or even a parody explaining maybe why the whole thing was rather underwhelming. Still, to conclude, even though it's probably not the best Hong-Kong production starring Jet Li, it is still pretty entertaining and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
