An average movie

I remember actually quite well the fist time I saw this movie. Indeed,  I basically bumped into it while it was on TV. Back then,  I was just a kid and I especially enjoyed at the time the sequence with the bunny in claymation. Anyway, almost 30 years later, this segment is still pretty neat but, to be honest, this movie is actually quite  a mess. Indeed, it is a rather odd combination of concert footage, documentary bits, some longer version of the 'Bad' album video-clips and a (rather weak) fantasy fiction around 'Smooth Criminal'. I know that Michael Jackson also wished to be an actor and that's probably the closest he ever got but, man, this movie was just a massive egotrip. Still, in spite of its flaws, I thought it was a decent watch. I mean, if you can't stand Michael Jackson's music, this movie would be then completely boring to you but, if you, like me and so many others in the world, have a weak spot for his work, then, it is definitely worth a look. For example, even though the narrative aspect of the 'Smooth Criminal' segment was seriously weak, it is just a great song and the dancing was also just amazing. To conclude, if you manage to put aside how poorly put together the whole thing is, I think it is actually worth a look, especially if you're interested in Michael Jackson's work.
