Cate Blanchett stars as Charlotte Gray, a Scotswoman entering wartime France, in this Sebastian Faulks adaptation. Although she's officially spying, unofficially she's looking for her lover, a downed RAF pilot (Rupert Penry-Jones).

Directed by Gillian Armstrong (Little Women), written by Jeremy Brock (The Last King
of Scotland, Mrs Brown), and also starring Billy Crudup, Michael Gambon and Helen McCrory.
