Jerry Lee Lewis, Dennis Quaid & Winona Ryder discuss their 1989 film GREAT BALLS OF FIRE about the years 1956 - 58 in the life of the charismatic rocker to host Stu Jeffries for the Vancouver CBC TV series GOOD ROCKIN' TONITE. Lewis talks about his life and Quaid & Ryder talk about their roles. While touring England in 1958, a British reporter discovered Lewis had married his cousin Myra and she was 13 years old, and that led to "The Killer's" downfall. The film is based on the book by Myra Lewis. Also in the cast but not interviewed were Alec Baldwin as Lewis' struggling preacher cousin Jimmy Swaggart, Steve Allen as himself and Peter Cook (comedian Dudley Moore's sidekick) as the reporter. Other hits by Lewis included Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On and Breathless.
