" Limited Series Whitehead's novel got a lot of positive attention and the preview for this show intrigued me quite a bit. While the overall production and acting is great the story feels stale and the fantasy elements/alternate history just didn't work for me. It's also depressing and more depressing. I've seen so many movies about slavery that are all depressing, but with those they end after two hours, this show just kept getting worse and worse. Main Locations: GA, SC, NC, TN, & IN,"
"Kinda slow, characters aren't that great, especially Cora and she's the main one ... but it is good and episodes 2, 6, 9 and 10 are fucking great."
"Follow young Cora’s journey as she makes a desperate bid for freedom in the antebellum South. After escaping her Georgia plantation for the rumored Underground Railroad, Cora discovers no mere metaphor, but an actual railroad full of engineers and conductors, and a secret network of tracks and tunnels beneath the Southern soil."
"And the Nominees are... *Hamilton- Thomas Kail *I May Destroy You ("Ego Death")- Michaela Coel and Sam Miller *I May Destroy You ("Eyes Eyes Eyes Eyes")- Sam Miller *Mare of Easttown- Craig Zobel *The Queen's Gambit- Scott Frank *The Underground Railroad/b>- Barry Jenkins *WandaVision/b>- Matt Shakman And the Emmy goes to... **Scott Frank- The Queen's Gambit**I'd been leaning pretty solidly towards picking Frank and, like other miniseries question marks, the Creative Arts Emmys cleared do"
"1. Scott Frank- The Queen's GambitNo lengthy write-up necessary for this category. #1-3 are guaranteed locks, and #4 is close to being one. 2. Barry Jenkins- The Underground Railroad 3. Thomas Kail- Hamilton 4. Craig Zobel- Mare of Easttown 5. Matt Shakman- WandaVisionProbably, but I could see it getting written of as just another Marvel assembly line product (which would be highly dispiriting, considering it's one of the most original things they've ever put out). That said, Shakman puts in"
