American Dad! Reviews

I hear a lot of mixed reviews about this over the internet. Some have said it's way better than Family Guy, Some say it's sub par to Family Guy, and some just say it's just as bad as Family Guy.

I believe this is just as good as family guy. No worse. No better. There are some better episodes of Family Guy and there are some better episodes of American Dad. I've watched Family Guy first, so I'm not being biased. The Cleaveland show on the other hand wasn't nearly as good.

It's a matter of preference. In a lot of ways this is very similar to family guy. Dumb husband, hot wife, misunderstood teenage girl, nerdy dunce son. The only big difference is the Alien and the Fish vs. the baby and the dog.

I rave about American Dad to people in the UK but many haven't seen it. I feel its superior to the over rated, Fanmily Guy. Family Guy gets the ratings and viewers because it uses shock tactics. American Dad, to me, is far more satirical and witty without trying as hard (therefore more on par with the Simpsons). It is too, a send up of 'the perfect, Republican American , family. They get involved and experience everything that proves their ideology is stupid, but still Dad comes back to it , blinded by some false sense of patriotism. Fantastic. Must get the old man to buy me the box set for xmas as I always miss episodes in the UK, as they're on late on BBC3.

From the guys who brought you Family Guy, comes American Dad. This is a great show. It is obviously not as good as Family Guy, but that is expected. My favorite character is Stan. He is like Peter in a way. The story is great, and the comedy is excellent. The Creators of Family Guy really know how to make a great show. If you haven't seen this show yet, then what are you waiting for? watch American Dad. It is one of the best Animated television shows on the air.

lame and unfunny. that's all this show is. launched by the same people that brought the hilarious Family Guy to us, this show was pathetic from day 1. gay alien, chauvinistic dad, annoying mom & daughter, nerdy son. what the hell is the appeal? none of the jokes delivered, a couple of odd ones may have made me crack a smile, but thats it. and last 2 seasons (i can't believe this crap is still on air) have been even worse.

and by a coincidence, ever since this show started to air, the awesomeness of Family Guy has been slowly declining, and this season, FG is utter shit (see my FG review for more).

i like the show, such a great funny show to watch. Cant wait to get latest torrents and download it
