Adding a person to Listal

I've added a way of creating a page for people who do not have a page on Listal

Now when you search for someone that cannot be found, you can create a page for them. This will work when searching for people using the search box at the top or adding to a custom list.

This will only work for searches under actors and actresses, because I would like to keep new additions under the /person/personname location.

This will be useful to add famous people that might not have credits for movies/TV

Is it possible to affiliate a person you add with like a film or an album or something?

Just click edit on a album and you can add an artist to it.

Movies are mirror of imdb so are not editable.

This is not working, is there some other way to add a person?

When I try and add a person to the database, it redirects to Listal's homepage.

1.

I look for the name on Listal, to find out if it's really missing.

www.listal.com/search/person/name+lastname

Sometimes you need to double-check.

For instance "Matt Le Blanc": nothing found.
Matt LeBlanc: bingo!

If the name is not on Listal, then I look up IMDb.com
Let's say "Matt LeBlanc" was not on Listal, then I would find him on IMDb:
www.imdb.com/find?ref_=nv_sr_fn&q=Matt+LeBlanc&s=nm

As I am interested in Matt LeBlanc the actor who played Joey in "Friends", not in Matt LeBlanc the composer with same name, I pick the correct IMDb page:
www.imdb.com/name/nm0001455/?ref_=fn_nm_nm_1

Next thing, I copy that IMDb link and paste it into Listal's search window and hit Enter on my keyboard, or the green search button ("All").
Listal will magically import the missing name and create a new page for "Matt LeBlanc" (if it's missing), with links to the movies and shows he was in.
If the page exists already, Listal will just bring you to that page.

What if the name you want is NOT on Listal and NOT on IMDb.com either? If you are positive the name is not in the database (please double-check, including known name variants and known nicknames for that person), then you can import it from some other reputable web page about the same person, for instance a Wikipedia article about him or her.
However, please do take care not to import duplicate pages for someone who already has a profile on Listal or IMDb.com.

I added some information but it looks like listal made it to the hockeyplayer boris profile instead...(the tv appearance).
can you do something about that?

I added the musician and member of the French band "The Do" into Music because it wouldn't allow me to add him under "people" (since there are two other Dan Levy on this website). I can't edit properly his profile, it sucks.

This process has to be easier. I'm trying to add the individual members of Prince's band "3rdeyegirl" I got to the wiki page for the entry and used the Add To Listal link. At the prompt I decided this would be the easy way to add each woman's name. Now the wiki page for the band is associated with one member of the band. So there's no Listal entry for the band which I planned to add afterwards.

It's weird, though, as there are no credits.

I've tried to add a few people who have apostrophes in their name, from Wikipedia to listal database, e.g Irish rugby player Brian O'Driscoll, but listal doesn't seem to accept that. What should I be doing?

I have just added Brian O'Driscoll from IMDb.

IMDb is always a good place to start search for a personality, even when it's not an actor / film director / scriptwriter / soundtrack composer... but a sportsman, as almost every famous person appears in some TV shows or in movies!

I just want to add a model who is not on listal at all.. How can I create a page for her? Listal seems so complicated. Can't you make it easier like on bellazon?

@kayzer , Copy and paste a website about the model in the search field and press enter. Select the category "people", write the name of the model and press "Add item to Listal"
