Born in Calicut, Kerala, India. Crowned Miss Bangalore, Shweta competed in the Miss India contest in 1994 and finished second runner up behind Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai. She became the first Gladrags female super model in 1994 and then, Miss Asia Pacific runner up the same year. She appeared in a Kamasutra brand condom ad wearing a 2-piece bathing suite, which is risque for India and the ads depicted various sexual intercourse positions. She is an excellent dancer and appears in many South Indian films.
