Description:
Deep Fantasy is the third album from the hard hitting rock n'' roll outfit, White Lung. After a year plus of near constant touring (w/ Iceage, Parquet Courts, Fucked Up) behind their sophomore album Sorry they slimmed down to a trio to record: vocalist Mish Way, drummer Anne-Marie Vassiliou and guitarist Kenneth William. The album was made primarily in their hometown of Vancouver, B.C. with producer Jesse Gander. They''re as confrontational as before, but they''ve opened their sound up just enough to draw listeners in before kicking them in the face. (In a good way.)

RS: 40 Greatest Punk Albums of All-Time (40 music items)"This Vancouver band comes on like Black Flag fronted by the bastard daughter of Patti Smith and Stevie Nicks, with each song going off like a nail bomb of desire. Standouts like "Drown With the Monster" and "Face Down" are splatter-noise anthems that feel amazingly fresh — highly impressive for a band operating four decades into punk's history."
