Crystal Ball is the third track from Grimes' split album with d'Eon and first studio extended play Darkbloom. It was originally meant to be given a music video and would be released as the promotional single for the EP, however Grimes decided against it as she was reportedly unhappy with the video made for Crystall Ball. Vanessa was later chosen to become the promotional single off Darkbloom.
