A blistering "Death Hunt" from On Dangerous Ground (1951) leads to an extended suite from Herrmann's debut score, Citizen Kane (1941). A lugubrious prelude is followed by the elegant, playful "Breakfast Montage" and soprano Kiri Te Kanawa singing the superb Wagnerian "Aria from Salammbo".
