"Bryan Cranston as Dalton Trumbo (an American screenwriter and novelist, who scripted films including Roman Holiday, Exodus, Spartacus, and Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo. One of the Hollywood Ten, he refused to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in 1947 during the committee's investigation of Communist influences in the motion picture industry. He was subsequently blacklisted by that industry) "
"This was an EXCELLENT drama. I really loved every aspect of it, and I don't normally enjoy movies like this. Not a fan of historical pieces, and don't usually like biographic pieces. So it just wasn't up my alley, but I wanted to give it a try. Bryan Cranston was AMAZING, too. "
"It may ultimately be too simplistic in its morality, but the film is smart, quick, clever, and boasts a fantastic performance by Bryan Cranston. 7.7/10"
