“To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since it was starring Mila Kunis, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, the concept might have seemed to be too lame and/or idiotic for my taste and, yet, it could have worked though. Indeed, Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon were both pretty good and they had a nice chemistry together. Unfortunately, pretty much nothing else did work in this movie, I’m afraid. Indeed, all the other characters were barely entertaining but, above all, they never really nailed the tone. Indeed, if they would have gone for either a dark comedy or something really daft, I think it could have been pretty neat after all. Unfortunately, they went for some weird mix of standard comedy with standard action stuff and this mix was just misgu” read more
"First viewing - March 13th After abandoning Climax I opted for this film and I'm not sure it was much better. The main thing it had going for it was that it wasn't actively boring the hell out of me. It also wasn't as entertaining as it clearly wanted to be though. The majority of the humor falls flat, or maybe it's just not my taste. The action sequences are decent, but not exceptional though it's rather refreshing to see women performing a lot of the stunts instead of it being all men. It's n"

“A couple of best friends are drawn into the midst of an international spy plot and soon find themselves in the cross-hairs of covert agencies, terrorist organizations, and assassins. "The Spy Who Dumped Me" retreads the familiar concepts that the Melissa McCarthy starring vehicle "SPY" took on not three years previous. However, it manages to differentiate itself by focusing on the chemistry of it's two leads and making the film more about their character's friendship than a subversive take on the spy genre.
This production, unlike its predecessor "SPY", opted to make the surrounding plot and action less inane providing us with a amalgamate product that somehow comes off without a hitch. The action is tight and effective even when mixed with the humor. The setup comes off as a d” read more
" First Viewing Viewing Date: May 11th Via: iTunes Store Plot: Audrey and Morgan are best friends who unwittingly become entangled in an international conspiracy when one of the women discovers the boyfriend who dumped her was actually a spy. Rating: 6.3/10"
"This movie about two best friends who are thrown into the deep end of international spying was entertaining, funny, had a good cast but it was way too long. This movie, though, was predictable. I still enjoyed it despite its flaws. Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon had great chemistry and, for me, they carried the whole thing. Fans of action blockbusters might pass up what seems a light-hearted comedy but the action scenes are actually very good. They are funnier and also bloodier than you'll be expe"
