Very Nice. Such a great movie The Lincoln Lawyer. It was amazing concept of this movie. The story is adapted from the first of several novels featuring the character of Mickey Haller.

An average movie

Ever since I heard that Matthew McConaughey made his come-back in this feature, I was really intrigued by it. Eventually, I thought it was not bad but still nothing really mind-blowing though. I mean, the first 20 minutes were really good, with a gritty look, some dynamic directing and indeed a very sharp McConaughey. Unfortunately, from the moment he got involved in the Roulet case, the whole thing became less interesting. I mean, it was well made and rather entertaining but it still felt like a standard thriller combining a court drama and your usual omnipotent serial-killer. It was rather disappointing that in the first part McConaughey created an interesting sleazebag lawyer but suddenly, the guy grew a consciousness and it was immediately rather underwhelming. Furthermore, the plot was not completely convincing, with enough plot holes and the usual annoying twists at the end. Still, McConaughey was indeed pretty good and the rest of the cast (Ryan Phillippe , Marisa Tomei, William H. Macy, Josh Lucas, John Leguizamo, Michael Peรฑa, Frances Fisher, Bryan Cranston) was pretty nice as well. To conclude, even though it was nothing amazing in my opinion, it still remains a decent thriller and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.

Not Bad

Wait! Matthew Mccaughey can act! Yes he was really good in this movie, which I thought would be worse, but it wasn't. I heard it had a lot of flaws, but I couldn't find that many. Everything really stayed intact. The acting was good Ryan Phillippe had one bad part, but he saved his role towards the end and ended up having a good role. It wasn't delivered quit well it moved really slow for me, but it wasn't bad and a good movie to check out.

The Lincoln Lawyer review

I guess i'm a sucker for rogue lawyer films - the FIrm, Michael Clayton, and now, while not quite rising to the level of the first two, the Lincoln Lawyer is a solid addition to the panopoly. Interest concept - a defense lawyer with a conscience of sort, a complex family life (x wife was a prosecutor) and a fateful decision to take on a rich client instead of his usual hard-working riff raff criminals. Some good acting with a mustacioed William H Macy, and even Matthew Mcconaughey seems to fit into this role like an easy chair. Marisa Tomei was not quite as believable, and the ending maybe wraps up a little too neatly. But solid plot line, and McConaughey doesn't take off his shirt. So that adds a half star.
