I found this difficult to watch and if it wasn't on so late I still wouldn't have wanted to watch the whole thing. It was nauseating because the time line was all over the place. Not that it was hard to follow but it gets a bit much when it's jumping from present to past to future and to any one of those again for no real reason, even being in present tense while jumping to past and present, then ... read more

" An extremely volatile and dangerous Englishman goes to Los Angeles to find the man he considers responsible for his daughter's death. A throwback to films from the 60’s and 70’s, critics loved the movie and Terrance Stamp and Peter Fonda, too."

"Middle of the road for Soderbergh and one of Terrence Stamps best performances. It could have been a pretty cool 90 LA film but falls just short. "

30 From 99: My Favorite Films From 1999 (30 movies items)

"To be honest, at first glance, The Limey doesn't seem like it was too far off from just being a typical crime film of this variety. However, with Steve Soderbergh in the director's chair, Terence Stamp in the zone as the lead and Peter Fonda who plays the antagonist with an evil that shows itself on the surface as only as a laser-like sliver, there's is enough in this movie to raise it just above the heap of the average revenge thriller.
