A good movie

Honestly, I wasnโ€™t sure what to expect from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Ewan McGregor and Eva Green, I was quite eager to check it out. As usual, I didnโ€™t know what it was about, which is the best way to watch a movie in my opinion, and basically, it is a rather odd mix between a love story and a pandemic virus which attacks every senses one by one. Well, like I said before, I didnโ€™t know what it was about beforehand so I thought at first that it would be an intriguing romance between those two gifted actors who had some great chemistry together but, suddenly, they started with this virus(es) which I thought would be a sub-plot, but no, it was something really major but Iโ€™m not sure if I really liked this turn of event. The point is that I have seen my share of virus related features lately and I wonder how the movie would have turned out to be if they just late this relationship developing itself without all the SF stuff. Still, it was definitely an interesting mix, almost elegiac sometimes, and I think it is worth a look, especially if you want to see a different approach to both genres.

Perfect Sense review

An amazing story entailing human race predicament, when human beings are hit by strange disease, depriving them of their natural senses. Two symbolic chracters in the movie, one is the epidemologist and the other one is the chef.

Slowly and gradually human beings start losing their crucuial senses, first to go was the olfactory sense, sense of smell, followed by the loss of taste. Than goes the hearing sense and in the end the sight. A tale which shows how the human race put up their brave face after each loss, anger was there but they learn to live with it. A beautiful BBC production.
