"First viewing - Jan. 20th You'd be forgiven for thinking I watched this with the kiddo, but I didn't. I had thought we'd see it together while it was in theatres last year, but the one time she saw a trailer for it she told me it looked too scary for her and I wasn't going to argue. So on a kiddo-free Friday night I sat down with it alone and surprisingly enjoyed it more than I expected to. Much ado has been made over the CGI in the film, and while it's quite impressive at times it's also obvio"

"Visually gorgeous flick and voice acting was great too. Story was same old same old. Shared With My Brother, Sister And Her Fiance!"
"2016 Possibly the best animation-to-live action Disney movie yet (Maleficent, Cinderella, Snow White/Huntsman, Alice in Wonderland). I say live-action, but obviously all but one character is CGI. The characters are full, the visuals (I recommend the 3D experience), and thankfully the inclusion of the two most popular songs from the animated version. I love what they did with King Louie and the elephants. I also really liked all the funny little minor characters. My main gripes are Scarlet "
