He finds a pretty young woman but he still can't seem to find his life purpose and and it looks like everyone but him is having fun. "The Green Years" isn't an especially bad film but it's not very memorable either because it doesn't offer any new viewpoints on popular main subject. Several better directors like Truffaut, Godard, and Chabrol have directed many much more impressive films about young people and their problems."
