Before watching this flick, I thought it was a live-action of this cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid called ‘Les Minipouss’ but, in fact, this TV-show was adapted on a completely different book called ‘The Littles’ with a very similar plot which was written later. Anyway, to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this flick but I still ended up watching the damned thing. Eventually, I thought it was actually a decent familly feature. Sure, there was nothing brilliant whatsoever about the whole thing was rather well done. Indeed, at the time, it got some pretty good reviews because it looked really good and, indeed, even though the plot was rather generic, the whole thing looked actually pretty neat. While making some research, I discovered that the critically acclaimed animated feature ‘Kari-gurashi no Arietti’ is actually based on the same book (which was actually pretty obvious when you think about it for a few seconds…) and I will definitely check it out when I have the opportunity. To conclude, even though it was nothing really amazing, I thought it was a decent watch and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you have some young children who needs to entertained.
