" In another time, another place, ex mercenary Tom Cody has returned to his hometown, in order to save his ex girlfriend Ellen Aim, who is the lead singer of a pop group from a group of no good, street punk bikers, lead by their sadistic leader, Raven. With a lot of fire power, grit, a fellow former soldier, Ellen’s manager, and a R&B soul group, maybe Cody has a chance. Maybe. "Reason for the future sucking: Violence, lots and lots of violence, due mostly to punks, and a biker gang that's taken over a town, and caused lots of property damage. Year it takes place: Kind of a 50's/80's kind of time period."
"Pros: The rock ‘n roll atmosphere. It’s AA timeless comic book fantasy. The music. It’s action packed. Michael Pare, Diane Lane, Amy Madigan, William DaFoe, and Rick Moranis It’s a very 80’s movie. Con: It’s film, that only a handful will like enjoy. For some, it’s style over substance."
" "Lemme tell you somethin': Some people never talk about their feelings - They got 'em. Deeper than anybody. Other people never talk about their feelings 'cause they ain't got any." Directed by Walter Hill Written by Walter Hill and Larry Gross Music by Ry Cooder Cinematography by Andrew Laszlo Editing by James Coblentz, Freeman A. Davies, Michael Ripps and Michael Tronick"
"Unnamed City In a another place, a another time..... Why you wouldn’t want to visit: Biker gangs and crime, is pretty much everywhere."
" Directed by: Walter Hill Produced by: Lawrence Gordon, Gene Levy, Joel Silver, and Mae Woods Written by: Walter Hill and Larry Gross Cinematography: Andrew Laszlo Edited by: James Coblentz Music by: Ry Cooder Distributed by: Universal Pictures"
"Welp, this is probably the best Walter Hill -film. I often take umbrage with the way he shoots everything very matter-of-factly, just panning his camera with the targets center-frame, but having this film be non-stop scored with music on the basis of it being a rock fable makes it a very dynamic whole, something he's forced to cut and frame around in a way that isn't his usual style. And he's... fucking awesome at it? Like, I wish he had pivoted more to making music videos with the way this thin"
" First Viewing Viewing Date: July 1st Via: Blu-ray Plot: A mercenary is hired to rescue his ex-girlfriend, a singer who has been kidnapped by a motorcycle gang. Rating: 7.3/10 "
