"Unfinished 1962 romantic comedy A remake of the Irene Dunne/Cary Grant hit "My Favorite Wife" (RKO, 1940), this film was put into production in April 1962 and was announced to star Marilyn Monroe and Dean Martin. James Garner was originally set to play the male lead but he decided to make "The Great Escape" (United Artists, 1963) instead. Monroe's increasing absences from the set due to illness or other personal problems led to frequent production delays and her eventual firing from the project"
