" Small Time Crooks is a 2000 American crime-comedy film written and directed by Woody Allen. It stars Allen, Hugh Grant, Elaine May and Tracey Ullman. The picture's plot has some similarities to that of the 1942 comedy Larceny, Inc. Ray Winkler is a "small time crook" with big dreams. "June 21 "For God's sake! For some reason you're always shooting down my dreams." "Because you get the kind of dreams people get after putting opium in their brownies." I wasn't really feeling this one. It did have a plot that sounded good on paper, but it turned out to be standard Woody Allen fare. It had it's moments and it is never boring, but some of the jokes were forced and I just felt like this movie could've been better. Only Woody Allen completionists must watch this movie."
