" New York police are bemused by a spate of reports of a giant flying lizard that has been spotted around the rooftops of New York, which they assume to be bogus until the lizard starts to eat people. An out-of-work, ex-con piano player is the only person who knows the location of the monster's nest and is determined to turn the knowledge to his advantage, but will his gamble pay off or will he end up as lizard food? "Pros: New York City, during the early 80’s. Michael Moriarty The effects maybe cheesy, but it’s still fun to watch. It’s the best flying serpent film, ever made."
"Directed by: Larry Cohen Cinematography: Fred Murphy and Oliver Wood "
"Rated: R Why it’s rated: Adult language, graphic violence, and nudity"
" Note: While the film was a popular hit when it was released, no sequel was made. The film even ends on a cliffhanger. "
"Is being rich worth the hassle? Also, don’t mess with a ancient God! Or a winged serpent."
"First viewing - Oct. 12th I figured I'd make it an '80s night and began with this cult classic. It's a lot of fun to watch, though the construction of the film is rather slapdash at times. It'll jump to a scene that feels like it was forced into the narrative without any clear connective tissue, and then the scene ends almost as abruptly and jumps away elsewhere. Thankfully it's not a constant aspect of the film, but it happened at least twice and kinda bugged me. The cast includes Richard Roun"
" Date: 10/6/2019 Viewed: Blu-Ray Rewatch Note: This movie is still a fun giant monster movie. It's not great, but it is cool to see a giant flying snake bird monster flying across New York City. The cinematography and camera work in this movie is excellent too. I love how this movie makes you feel like that you are flying in the sky as the giant monster. Not to mention, the special effects in this movie is really cool as well. This movie is a nice throw back to the 1950s giant monster movies "
