Description: Rainer Werner Fassbinder's The Marriage of Maria Braun is one of the finest movies this prolific German director has made. " The downfall of a beautiful woman. In a way shows how closely love is related to hate and destruction. My biggest problem was with how contrived/conveniently things happen to push the plot in this film of cynicism and post war striving for survival.
