"16.12. 2023 "Majuri maantieltä" is one of the countless military farce comedies that were popular in the '50s Finland and it actually has a decent premise: a tramp who is just wandering around is confused with a major who is expected to scrutinise conditions at a garrison. A film offers few funny misconceptions but it is still disappointing because the director isn't able to utilize full potential of the main idea."
