“When I heard that Steven Soderbergh was going to release another movie only 4 years after announcing his retirement, I was both pleased but also rather annoyed. I mean, why didn't he just say that he was taking a break from directing instead ? Anyway, eventually, even though this movie did receive some solid reviews, it didn't make much waves at the box-office after all but I still wanted to check it out anyway. Well, all in all, even though it was nothing really groundbreaking, it was still pretty entertaining. Indeed, I always had a weak spot for the heist genre and this one turned out to be pretty neat. As usual, Soderbergh had a solid cast at his disposal and they obviously all had some fun with the material. Still, even though it was a decent story, it was nothing really amazing thoug” read more

" Channing Tatum as Jimmy Logan Adam Driver as Clyde Logan Daniel Craig as Joe Bang "
"Steven Soderbergh returns with another heist movie. Although it lacks the charm of the Oceans trilogy, it is still a good movie to watch. It's about 2 brothers wanting to pull of a heist during a NASCAR driving race and recruiting a criminal serving time inside a jail and his 2 younger dim-witted siblings. The movie is well put together with a good script. The cast is excellent with Channing Tatum and Adam Driver as the 2 brothers but it's probably Daniel Craig who stands out among the cast with"
"2017/09/04 @Goodrich Kalamazoo 10 - theater 9, row 4 Via MoviePass A clever heist movie. Builds up the characters to not be totally despicable and likeable, so you feel you can root for their success."
"31/8/17 Steven Soderbergh returns behind the camera for this low-grade variation of Ocean's 11, with Channing Tatum as a man who plays to rob a Nascar circuit with the help of his unlucky family and an explosives expert. The kind of heist movie the Coens would make, this is mildly amusing but thanks to Daniel Craig's pitch perfect criminal, a million miles away from Bond, it's made the more fun."
"First viewing - Aug. 20th Best new-to-me film for August (3-way tie) I spent my Sunday morning/afternoon at the theatre catching a pair of new films. I kicked the day off with Soderbergh's return to the big screen, and was handsomely rewarded for doing so. The cast is great, the story is smartly constructed, and there's never a dull moment. I knew it'd be good, but didn't think it'd be as good as it is, and so I walked away from it elated. I'll be thinking & talking about this one for the next "
"Almost diabolically smart, and an entertaining tale to boot, this movie shows that Steven Soderbergh has not lost his touch, and with luck will continue to make great films. 9.1/10"
