Description: The Interval marks a point of departure for director Leonardo di Costanza, his first fictional feature amongst a body of work predominantly comprised of documentaries. One of eight Italian films at the 56th BFI London Film Festival, and recipient of the FIPRESCI award earlier this year at Venice, Costanza’s The Interval is a patient and at times poetic meditation on adolescence. The film tells the story of ice-cream vendor Salvatore, who is pressed into the service of Camorra.
