Not so long ago, before Disney bought Marvel and Star Wars, this company was mostly known for such harmless and rather underwhelming familly features. To be honest, I don't really remember how I ended up watching this flick (it was probably with the kids, I guess, when you're in trouble, always blame them!). Anyway, even for a familly feature, I thought it was still pretty bad. I mean, the plot was completely predictable and not entertaining at all and the whole thing was just completely boring, at least, that’s my opinion. The only interesting thing was maybe to see Hayden Panettiere when she was much younger and before she reached fame with 'Heroes'. A part from that, it was some pretty standard stuff and it was not really entertaining, I'm afraid. For Michelle Trachtenberg, after the amazing but really heavy ‘Mysterious Skin’ and the rather raunchy and lame ‘EuroTrip’, to go back to a Disney familly friendly feature, it seemed rather like a big step back and, to be honest, she hasn’t done anything really amazing during the following decade. Anyway, to conclude, in my opinion, it is not worth your time whatsoever, except maybe if you are a very young girl who needs to be entertained.

While preparing a special project for a scholarship to Harvard, a teenager discovers her passion for ice skating. Blah. Blah. Blah. This is a story that has been told time and time again - the usual if-you-persevere-you-can-achieve-your-dream.
The acting is decent and there are some good ice skating routines so it should be fun for its target audience.
