Description: While taking a walk in the Mongolian veld, six-year-old Nansaa finds a little black and white spotted dog in a cave along the cliffs. She names him “Zochor” (“Spot” in English) and takes him home with her. Against the objections of her parents, she keeps the little dog and they quickly become best friends. When her father goes on a long trip to the city to sell sheepskins, Nansaa loses track of the pup in the tundra and, while searching for him, encounters an old woman who tells her the legend of the cave of the yellow dog.
