"In "Good Night, and Good Luck," Edward R. Murrow (David Strathairn), Fred Friendly (George Clooney) and Joe Wershba (Robert Downey, Jr) use the method of journalism in the show “See It Now” to criticize the policies of Senator Joseph McCarthy. The studio director Sig Mickelson (Jeff Daniels) and executive William Paley (Frank Langella) are concerned because the report may bring up serious accusations in CBS, but the report becomes a major hit and Murrow’s anti-red scare battle commences. " There are several things that are indelibly associated with the 1950s and one of the biggest ones was the Red Scare. With the Cold War "raging" in full alert, Americans were on constant edge and fear of anything that even hinted at the spread of Communist ideals. Anyway, coming back to our main feature, even"

"First viewing - Sept. 1st For reasons I can't recall anymore this film was not a priority for me at the time of its theatrical run. In the past few years I've been itching to watch it but hadn't successfully tracked it down on the occasions where I went seeking it out. Thus I was pleasantly surprised to find it on Netflix, and hopped on the chance to watch it almost immediately. I'm glad I did. It's a fascinating film, and surprisingly still relevant. The cast does an excellent job, and I liked"
