" In a world, where magic is real, and dragons terrify villagers, a young boy named Galen is tasked with to well, slay a dragon. You can’t accuse the film’s title, for not being exactly what it advertises. The sorcerer and his apprentice Galen are on a mission to kill an evil dragon to save the King’s daughter from being sacrificed according to a pact that the King himself made with the dragon to protect his kingdom. It also featured earlier performances, by Peter MacNicol, Caitlin Cla"
"Pros: The dragon is not only terrifying, but there is also some of the best dragon effects, ever in the film. It’s a dark, fantasy adventure film. How did they get away with this movie? And it’s PG, too! Caitlin Clarke, and her performance in the movie, as well as Ralph Richardson. It’s a great, and very underrated fantasy adventure film. The score by Alex North. Cons: Galen can be grating at times. It’s an insanely dark film."
"Directed by: Matthew Robbins Cinematography: Derek Vanlint "
"Rated: PG Why it’s rated: Violence, brief nudity, and dragon slaying. This could be one of the most darkest Disney films, ever. "
"“In the Dark Ages, Magic was a weapon. Love was a mystery. Adventure was everywhere... And Dragons were real."
"While not for kids, per say, kids who like dragons will be probably be interested in the film, however the film is pretty realistic, as realistic as a film with dragons, can get. Especially, with implied nudity, violence, and grittiness (you know, like in the medieval ages), and oddly enough, Disney co produced the film."
