"This movie follows a cross section of people from different classes in Britain who travel to Epsom racecourse to see the famous Derby horse race such as an aristocratic lady who lost her husband in a plane crash, two people on the run who have murdered somebody, a French maid who goes in place of her employer after she has fallen on her ankle and a working class couple. The most interesting people in the movie are the couple on the run as they hope to win some money that will secure them passage"
