A bad movie

Posted : 7 years, 8 months ago on 16 July 2016 04:37

Obviously, I didn't expect much from this flick but since it was on Netlfix, I thought I might as well check it out. Wow, it really deserves its poor reputation and it turned out to be much worse than I anticipated. I mean, I never cared for the parody genre to start with but this must be the very worst one I have seen (on the other hand, those guys Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg made a a whole bunch of these spoofs and they could be even worse). Why should I start? There was not one funny joke at all and, to watch this movie 10 years later, it makes the whole thing also dated and even more cringe-inducing to behold. The other thing that bothered me is that instead of focusing on the romantic-comedies, they keep throwing some references to some other movies coming from very various genres and, as a result, it all felt totally random and even less effective. Concerning Alyson Hannigan, she must have thought that this leading part would finally launch her career on the silver screen but this movie did exactly the opposite, it pretty much destroyed her career and we wouldn't see her in the movie theater for many years after that. Fortunately, she also started at the time to work on ย 'How I Met Your Mother' ย which was quite succesfull, otherwise, her career would have been pretty much finished. To conclude, coming back to our main feature, it was pretty bad and you should pretty much avoid it.ย

This is the Date Movie of all Reviews!

Appauling. Hollywood has sunk low in the past but letting this film reach cinemas! I have no sympathy if anything bad happens to the creators or producers of this film.

Was it meant to be funny? The cast were practically begging me to laugh at their performances but I couldn't even do that.

Brain Damage is the only reason this film exists. This is the Donnie Darko of the Spoof Genre!
