A bad movie

Posted : 12 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2011 10:04

Nowadays, I have Netflix and Popcorn and not only I have since then an endless selection of movies to choose from but, as a result, I have become slightly more picky regarding the movies I watch. Before, I used to watch pretty much anything as long as it was starring one or two actors I was interested in and, as a result, I would sometimes end up watching some really obscure features. This movie was a perfect example and the only reason I watched it was because it was featuring Brad Pit.It is actually a really rare movie. Indeed, basically, it was in fact made in the 80's in Yugoslavia but, when the war started, all the footage was lost. Eventually, it took them 5 years to recover the footage and the movie was finally released in 1996. It was also Brad Pitt's first lead role which was the main reason why I wanted to check the damned thing, And how was the damned thing eventually? Well, pretty bad, Iโ€™m afraid. Indeed, the directing was rather laughable, the dialogues were most of the time ridiculous and even the acting was terrible as well (it is rather difficult to believe that Brad Pitt would become an impressive actor twenty years later). I think the whole thing had some potential and you can feel that, somewhere, there was actually a decent tale to be told from this material. Anyway, to conclude, even though it is a rare movie, it is still pretty bad and it is not really worth a look.
