"The film is set in São Paulo, Brazil, where Yuda (Anthony Wong) heads up a pirated goods racket within the Asian district of Liberdade ("Freedom" in Portuguese) and throughout the surrounding areas. When corrupt politicians and jealous gangs try to destroy his business, Yuda is forced to fake his own death to escape arrest. Meanwhile, his adopted son Kirin (Joe Odagiri) takes a break from his playboy lifestyle to seek revenge against the rivals that wronged his dad."
