Since this movie is pretty much a classic in the Netherlands, I was quite eager to check it ย out. Much more than another coming of age movie โ€“ Ciske the rat is a fine example of the Dutch cinema. Description: Lovable Amsterdam street urchin, 11 year old Ciske is nevertheless much in need of love as the German 1955 title suggests. He is a scamp with a heart of gold.
