" First Viewing Viewing Date: May 28th Via: YouTube Movies Plot: Documentary on the Friedmans, a seemingly typical, upper-middle-class Jewish family whose world is instantly transformed when the father and his youngest son are arrested and charged with shocking and horrible crimes. Rating: 9.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? I remember the furore this created when it first came out, and it eluded me for years. This recently reappeared on my radar via an IMDb recommendation, and I promptly jumped on it"

"A documentary movie about a middle-class American family who is torn apart when the father Arnold and son Jesse are accused of sexually abusing numerous children. Director Andrew Jarecki interviews people from different sides of this tragic story and raises the question of whether they were rightfully tried when they claim they were innocent and there was never any evidence against them. This award winning documentary deals with two very unpleasant themes: pedophilia and destruction of a family"

"11.7, PC Capturing The Friedmans näyttää mielenkiintoisella tavalla ympäristön käyttäytymisen, kun arvostettu yhteisön jäsen, Arnold Friedman, paljastuukin pedofiiliksi. Vaikka kaikkien jälkikasvu ei uhriksi olisi joutunutkaan, ollaan asiasta silti varmoja ja yritetään kanssaeläjien toimesta syöttää sekä vanhemmille että lapselle faktana sitä asiaa, että jos lapsi on ollut tekemisissä pedofiliasta epäillyn atk-opettajan kanssa, niin silloin hyväksikäyttöä on tapahtunut"

"Home movies, sibling solidarity, wild allegations of sexual abuse, and the power of suggestion all wage battle over the truth, forever disfiguring the face of a seemingly normal Jewish family."

" 6.28 Unforgettable documentary of a family faced with scandal when the father is arrested for child pornography and possible child fornication. Director Andrew Jarecki's captured the family Friedmans at its best and worse, a must see film."
