“When I first heard about this movie, I had some serious doubts about the damned thing. Indeed, it seemed to be a desperate attempt from Renée Zellweger to comeback into the limelight (she hadn't released anything for the least 6 years). At some point, I was in fact supposed to see it in the movie theater with my wife on our wedding day but she didn't feel up to it on that day. Eventually, we still ended up watching it together for free on Popcorn only a month later which was maybe just as well because my wife didn't apparently like it much. I wonder what bothered her because I thought it turned out to be actually a decent watch after all. "Third time's a charm in this latest movie starring the ditzy and still single Bridget Jones played as always by Renee Zellweger. It's a surprisingly funny, smart and adorable romantic comedy. Most of the old cast return except Hugh Grant and the addition of Emma Thompson as a doctor is inspiring. There are plenty of laugh out moments to be had such as the familiar round of Bridget's self-inflicted embarrassments. This is Renée Zellweger's movie though and in one of her first major roles in year"
