"17.10. Blu-ray Uusintakatselu. Edelliskerrasta olikin oletettua kauemman. Tuntuu paha"

" I watched Gilliam's '12 Monkeys' a few years prior and it's one of my favourites too but I think it's fair to say 'Brazil' is his masterpiece. It's basically 1984 for a cinema audience isn't it? Michael Radford's adaptation of Orwell's dystopian vision came out the year prior and was pretty good, but Brazil with its colourful, energetic satirical wit and absurdisms made that film look utterly dour and dreary in comparison. When I watch this movie, I always stick with the director's cut of the movie and not the badly edited version that was made for Hollywood. I still consider Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) to be my favorite movie from Terry Gilliam, but Brazil is still a masterpiece nevertheless. Without a doubt, "

" Notes: To be honest, it has been a while since I have seen this movie and I should definitely re-watch it at some point. It is considered by many as Terry Gilliam's Magnum Opus and even though it might not be my favorite movie he made (I think I actually prefer ‘12 Monkeys’), it is still pretty obvious that this movie completely deserves its prestigious reputation. Surprisingly, Roger Ebert really didn’t like it at all but he was an expection as the movie was really well received when it"
