It's always a shame when a fantastic, well written short story is turned into a not so good full length movie. I love Clive Barker's Books of Blood, and some of the short stories in those volumes have been turned into pretty decent (and better) movies. This one, however, was a huge disappointment. Description: Based on the wraparound story penned by Clive Barker in the "Books of Blood" collection, a psychic researcher, employs medium Simon McNeal to investigate a haunted house. McNeal, at first, fakes his visions, but then real ghosts present themselves. They attack him and carve words into his flesh. These words, claims the narrator, form the rest of the stories, stories written on a literal, living Book of Blood.
