Westworld (2016)
1x7- Oh what an amazing twist, never saw it coming, who would've thought that in a world where robots can be mistaken for human, that twist would happen, literally no one!
But a cliche twist doesn't piss me off as much as the fact as that twist served to remove TWO likeable characters from the storyline and the fact that one of them was a great female character who was suddenly killed off for shock value, oh wow, I am so shocked.
The show has great acting and world building but the writing seems to be going towards using the shock value of sex and violence over actual storytelling.
Also do not get me started on the Will and Dolores instalove. Does anybody ship this. Also his encounter with his fiancee's brother was SO GAY, SO GAY, like it cannot have been unintentionally SO GAY.

It's a futuristic world with great riches and great poverty, you can heal a wound in 2 seconds flat, and yep, yep, still sexist yep, still with a male elite catering to male desires. Yepppp.
But omg Sean Teale looks like a plastic barbie in this. So strange compared to his role in Reign. Make up?
Anyway actually can't wait for the next episode. Acting and worldbuilding seem strong.

Reign (2013)
Oh Reign, no matter how bad the writing gets, Adelaide Kane as Mary is so watchable and the show is sooo pretty. If only the writing were good, god, if only. It deserves better.
Very sad to learn it will likely be cancelled. Wasn't interested in it off of the promo but Hayley Atwell gives off so much energy, attitude and emotion as the 'bad girl' character that is so different from her other role as Peggy. It's really a joy to watch.
The show is also obviously geared towards social justice issues.
I think making her love interest so much older was a mistake in casting but hm.
Also it definitely has a thing for fetishizing violence. Do you actually need to walk in the steps of someone who was beaten, and have a brick come into the eyes of the camera? Or walk you through innocent people being exploded? It seems to just really emphasize the violence in a way which is unnecessary to a case a week storyline. Not to mention, as each day passes, a board of the violent crime, focusing on images is shown. And besides it not even looking nice, it just idk doesn't sit right with me. It's one thing to focus on the violence of a case if you're really trying to humanize and empathize with the victim and it's another to be like this show.

Humans (2015)
Great acting and potentially imaginative worldbuilding but too many areas of frustratingly holey writing.
SKAM (2015)
When you have a great show and then for some reason feel the need to throw a random psychopath in for terrible drama, totally changing the tone of the show and the dynamics - why? For fuck's sake who considers this quality writing. 2x7- is just shit. Plus, season 2 concentrated a lot less on the other girls, often only having them as background noise.
