These are films that have been overlooked by critics and the public and are known amongst film-lovers for having much more depth than generally considered. Some of these films are morally dubious, ergo the bashing. And some just are that sort of films, you have to look beyond the cover to see the real meaning of the film. And some are of course just plain underrated. Many of these has had the deserving attention years afterwards. They are included on basis of the overlooking at the time of their release.
