2012 for me is going to go down as one of the best years for movies ever. Any one of my top 5 films would easily be number 1 in most other years.

Usually I have a clear cut favorite film at the end of most years. This year is a different story completely. If 2013 is even half as good as this year I'll be one happy dude.

After re-watching all the movies on this list I had to do some rearranging. The Avengers now holds the number one spot, it's a film that simply works on every level and a film I can see myself watching every few months. The other big change is Zero Dark Thirty going from number 1 to number 5. Don't get me wrong I still give it a 10 out of 10 but it's not a film I could watch over and over like those in my top 4.
