Barking Dogs Never Bite (2000)
Barking Dogs Never Bite stars Lee Sung-jae as an out-of-work college professor who is irritated by the sound of barking dogs in his apartment building and resorts to kidnapping and killing them. Meanwhile, a young woman who works at the apartment complex (played by Bae Doona) decides to investigate the matter after she starts receiving notices from tenants about the missing dogs.
Enys Men (2022)
Set in 1973 on an uninhabited island off the Cornish coast, a wildlife volunteer's daily observations of a rare flower turn into a metaphysical journey that forces her as well as the viewer to question what is real and what is nightmare.

The only feature that suggests a continuous, even though highly speeded up, flow of time is the appearance of a fruticose lichen growing on the flowers over three days, and simultaneously on the main protagonist's body.

Cria Cuervos (1976)
In the twilight of Francisco Franco's dictatorship, 8-year-old orphan Ana is convinced that she is responsible for the death of her father, an uninvolved, disloyal military officer. After their mother's untimely death, Ana and her sisters Irene and Maite go to live with their grandmother and Aunt Paulina and try their best to acclimatize to the new reality against the backdrop of a caged childhood. Through a series of dream-like sequences, Ana seeks solace by mixing memories with fantasy in her dimly-lit room, as, more and more, she develops a morbid relationship with what seems to be a ghost. This is Ana's desperate attempt to overcome life's constant impediments. Can she summon up the courage to grow up?
Ciao Manhattan (1972)
Ciao! Manhattan is a 1972 American avant garde film starring Edie Sedgwick. A scripted drama in which most of the actors play themselves, it centers on a character very closely based on Sedgwick, and deals with the pain of addiction and the lure of fame.

Alternately manic and meditative, it has an avant-garde sensibility characterized by vivid imagery, bleak humor, unconventional editing, and jagged soundscapes.
Chafed Elbows (1966)
Chafed Elbows is a 1966 still image film directed by Robert Downey Sr.

A manic comic parody underground film made for $12,000,Chafed Elbows was a commercial success. The film was premiered at The Gate Theater in New York City and ran for over one month alongside Scorpio Rising.

Downey photographed most of the movie with a still 35mm camera and had the film processed at Walgreens drugstore. These pictures were animated alongside a few live-action scenes and almost all the dialogue was dubbed to rather hilarious effect.
Black Biscuit (2011)
The film follows the improvised shenanigans of an ex child ping pong champion, a gigolo and an S&M mistresses. Fabrizio Federico's Black Biscuit is the flagship film of the director's Pink8 Manifesto - a new outrageous movement.

Shot on mobile phones and children's cameras Black Biscuit is the epitome of micro-budget filmmaking (with a reported budget of only £800). With no money, script or trained actors (using mostly homeless people and prostitutes) the film's stripped back aesthetics and production values will alienate most and understandably so, however, behind it's cluttered façade there lies some fascinating work in this piece of cinematic graffiti.
The Wailing (2016)
After a Japanese man arrives in Gokseong, a small village in the mountains of South Korea, a mysterious infection breaks out and causes the villagers to become deranged and violently kill their families.

One night at the police station, a naked woman appears outside. The next day, the police find the woman has become infected and murdered her family.

The Flower Thief (1960)
The Flower Thief is a 1960 underground film directed by Ron Rice, shot in 1959 in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood, using surplus 16mm film. The film features non-professional actors like Taylor Mead and Eric "Big Daddy" Nord, and Beat poets living in North Beach such as Bob Kaufman.[1] Skippy Alvarez, who worked at Vesuvio's Bar and lived at The Swiss American Hotel, appears in the film. She had just returned from attempting to bail Bob Kaufman out of jail. She spoke about how she wished the North Beach police would leave the Beats alone & quit hassling them.

Cold Fish (2010)
The film is loosely based on the exploits of two Tokyo serial killers, Sekine Gen and Hiroko Kazama, a husband and wife duo who owned a pet shop and murdered at least four people.Director and writer Sion Sono was influenced by Japanese crime cases while developing Cold Fish, specifically about an actual killing spree committed by a dog kennel owner in the 1990s (the story of the film involves a family of three that becomes entangled in a string of ongoing murders perpetrated by a tropical fish salesman in Shizuoka Prefecture.
Gummo (1997)
Gummo is a 1997 American experimental drama film written and directed by Harmony Korine, starring Jacob Reynolds, Nick Sutton, Jacob Sewell, and ChloÍ Sevigny. The film is set (but was not filmed) in Xenia, Ohio, a Midwestern American town that had been previously struck by a devastating tornado. The loose narrative follows several main characters who find odd and destructive ways to pass time, interrupted by vignettes depicting other inhabitants of the town.
