Spider Lilies (2007)

When Jade, a web-cam girl visits Takeko's tattoo studio she becomes entranced with the image of the spider lily and with Takeko as well. In order to get closer to the object of her desire, Jade asks Takeko to give her the same lily tattoo, challenging Takeko's monastic existence and opening up memories which threaten to tear the two women apart.
Four young black women live in the neighborhood of Brasilandia, in the underprivileged outskirts of Sao Paulo, and fight for the dream of making a living with their music. Friends since childhood, Preta, Barbarah, Mayah and Lena constantly need to fight against poverty, violence and sexism. They succumb to their grim realities, but end up gathering the pieces of the group and regaining the joy of singing together.

As is the tradition in this isolated Philippine town Daisy must follow in the footsteps of her Father and become the town's official circumciser. Daisy challenges the status quo and rebels against everything that she hates while a young Man defends her. Tuli is also the story of two best friends who deepen their relationship beyond friendship and a young Man willing to give Daisy everything he's got. He thinks his own funeral would be the right place to gather them. Finally, Jun-ki, Jeong-hee and Aimee come together at Hee-jun's funeral. They don't know why eacho f them visits the funeral. Maybe they are family.

The following year, both he and the city’s mayor George Moscone were shot to death by another city supervisor, Dan White. Mr. Milk was previously the subject of the Academy Award-winning documentary feature “The Times of Harvey Milk,” but “Milk” – filmed on location in San Francisco – is the first non-documentary feature to explore the man’s life and career.
In 1994 Pedro Zamora was the first HIV-positive gay man to appear in a reality show on MTV. The audience of 'The Real World: San Francisco' identified easily with this intelligent, good-looking Latino. His presence on the show also meant that audiences in the United States and abroad had to engage with the topic of AIDS. A screen adaptation of Pedro Zamora's life: his childhood in Havana as the youngest of eight children, his immigration to the United States, his hard work as an AIDS activist, his appearance on 'The Real World' as well as the short time that was left to him subsequently.
With a star-studded line-up that includes Jude Law, Judi Dench, Dianne Wiest, John Leguizamo, Simon Abkarian and Steve Buscemi, the film is a bitterly funny exposé of the inner lives of individuals working at a New York fashion house – as if shot by a schoolboy on his cellphone camera - over seven days in which an accident on the runway becomes a murder investigation.
