Ranking Gundam

The original that started the series. Amuro Ray and Char Azanable have a fantastic rivalry throughout the series. This show tells a fantastic story of how kids are forced into war and have to grow into soldiers. With great characters and a fantastic story, this was a great start to this franchise!

The second part of this franchise is a strong addition. This show follows Kamille Bidan, a man and focuses on the AEUG, an anti-Earth group, against the Titans, an organization that protects Earth but is very corrupt. Zeta tells a great story and gets me excited for more of this series!

The story about the birth of the Titans. This was one of the best stories I have seen so far in Gundam. I didn't enjoy the characters that much but the narrative is fantastic.

An emotional rollercoaster, with a nice small plot, compared to the large war narratives in the franchise. It was a nice change of pace for Gundam. It was a nice to care for the Zeon soldiers, something that was forgotten in the original!

A fantastic conclusion to Amuro and Char. It was beautifully animated, and with some of the most fun fights to watch. The story is fine, but what makes this worth watching is the conclusion of Amuro and Char's rivalry.

More Char is always a good thing, it was fun for some backstory on the Red Comet. Not much left to say other than Seig Zeon!

Gundam Unicorn! The series that is an end to the Early UC timeline for the time of this writing. It has great combat and action, it has many great references to the old Gundam series!It is a joy to watch as a fan of Gundam though it recycles a lot of tropes and is not as interesting as something like Z or 79.

Great visuals and use of Jazz Music. Thunderbolt is a nice take from the perspective of grunts in the One Year War. Though i found the character development rushed.

ZZ Gundam is a strange entry, I love the plot of Neo-Zeon becoming a threat and the Earth Federation working with them, but I don't like the new characters added. They are all dull, even Bright feels a little off, for example, he just accepts when the kids are being terrible. In Zeta he slapped Kamile to get him back to being serious.

Same as the first Season of Thunderbolt though this season felt a little slow to me and lacked the impact of the chaos and destruction of the first one.
